Texas Health Stephenville Opens Outpatient Surgical Center|
STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville has opened the Texas Health Outpatient Surgery Center Stephenville. The facility previously operated as the Surgical and Endoscopic Center of Stephenville.
On Jan. 1, Texas Health Stephenville acquired the center from Stephenville Medical & Surgical Clinic. The clinic continues to operate independently. Teams have been working since July on integrating the outpatient surgical operations with those provided at the hospital.
“As the health care needs of Erath County and the surrounding region evolve we feel that combining surgical services across the community will enable better coordination of services,” said Christopher Leu, president of Texas Health Stephenville. “We look forward to treating patients in the outpatient location as well as continuing to care for surgical patients within our hospital. We do not anticipate any major changes to the types of surgeries performed at either location.”
Texas Health Stephenville hired 11 employees from Surgical and Endoscopic Center of Stephenville. Texas Health Stephenville also recently installed computer systems in the outpatient center so that patients’ records are accessible to providers securely and seamlessly at either location.
