Reunion for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Graduates, Families Held at Texas Health Denton 07/14/2010
DENTON, Texas — Families from Denton and surrounding communities recently gathered at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton for the hospital's first Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Reunion. The event provided parents the opportunity to celebrate the health of their growing child as well as the chance to get to know families who also had babies cared for in the hospital's NICU.
The NICU at Texas Health Denton is the only level III NICU in Denton, thus enabling families to stay closer to home while receiving the specialty medical care their baby requires.
The unit opened its doors in 2006, and since then the medical and clinical staff have helped more than 700 babies, of those, 46 sets of twins and four sets of triplets.
