Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth was named a Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence by HealthGrades, a hospital rating company based in Golden, Colo. Texas Health Fort Worth's complications and mortality rates are considered by HealthGrades to be in the top 5 percent of the country.

For the 13th consecutive year, Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital is named a Consumer Choice Award Winner by the National Research Corporation.

 Presbyterian Hospital of Plano joins the ranks of famed dining establishments as a recipient of the restaurant industry's prestigious Ivy Award, a coveted accolade bestowed annually by Restaurants and Institutions magazine to a select group of restaurants, hotels and noncommercial food operators that exemplify the highest standards of excellence in food and service.

The green initiatives at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital, which include transforming the facility's waste management practices and reducing energy consumption, earn the hospital the 2008 Environmental Awareness Award in the corporate/business category by the League of Women Voters of Texas Education Fund.

Presbyterian Hospital of Plano is named a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, one of the highest distinctions for weight-loss surgery programs in the United States, by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).

Harris Methodist Southwest Hospital receives the Five-Star Hospital Award from the Bureau of Vital Statistics at the Texas Department of State Health Services for six time. The award recognizes hospitals and birthing centers for excellence in registering birth certificates with the state.

The Mabee Rehabilitation Center at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital receives accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Services (CARF) for its inpatient and outpatient stroke rehabilitation specialty services.
2007
In November 2007, Presbyterian Hospital of Plano receives the Magnet designation for excellence in nursing, the nation's highest honor for nursing excellence, from the American Nurses Credentialing Center
- Harris Methodist Walls Regional Hospital (HMWR) receives the 2007 Premier | CareScience Select Practice National Quality Award, placing the hospital in the top 1 percent of acute-care inpatient facilities in the nation.
- HMWR earns the 2007 Quality Award from Premier, placing it among the nation's top-performing facilities achieving the highest measures of clinical quality while reducing the cost of care.
- HMWR becomes a 2007 recipient of the Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Award from the TMF Health Quality Institute, the Medicare quality improvement organization for Texas. The award recognizes hospitals for improving from their initial baseline performance on specific quality measures related to acute myocardial infarction (heart attack), heart failure and
pneumonia.
- D magazine recognizes 257 physicians with active privileges on the medical staffs at Presbyterian Hospitals of Allen, Dallas and Plano among those providers on its annual "Best Doctors" list.
- In July 2007 Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas is recognized as a U.S. News and World Report Best Hospital for Digestive Disorders, Neurology and Neurosurgery and Orthopedics specialties.
- In July 2007 THR is named one of the 100 Most Wired hospitals for the eighth time in nine years by Hospital & Health Networks, the journal of the American Hospital Association. THR is also named a finalist for the Innovator Award for two projects.
- THR is named one of the "Best Places to Work" in Dallas-Fort Worth by the Dallas Business Journal in March 2007.

- Presbyterian Hospital of Kaufman earns national recognition when the hospital receives a top-five-percent performance ranking from the United States Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Premier, Inc., an alliance of 1,500 not-for-profit hospitals across the country.
- Harris Methodist H•E•B Hospital, Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital, Harris Methodist Walls Regional Hospital and Presbyterian Hospital of Winnsboro received the Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Award of Excellence from TMF Health Quality Institute, the Medicare quality improvement organization for Texas.

- Peers rate 168 physicians at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas as "Best Doctors in Dallas 2003" in a listing published in D magazine.
- For the eighth consecutive year, Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital is recognized as a Consumer Choice Award winner by Fort Worth residents. According to a survey conducted by the National Research Corporation, the hospital was selected as Fort Worth's "most preferred hospital" for overall quality and image. The announcement appears in Modern Healthcare magazine in September 2003.
- Douglas D. Hawthorne, president and CEO of THR, ranks No. 30 on the list of the 100 Most Powerful People in Health Care, compiled by Modern Healthcare magazine in September 2003.

Fort Worth Child magazine names Texas Health Resources as a "Family Friendly Employer" in its May 2002 issue, its second such honor for THR in three years. The magazine selected 14 companies from a survey of more than 500 Metroplex businesses.
