The Virginia Clay Dorman Breast Care Center at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth features advanced technology and care, allowing physicians on the medical staff to focus on screenings, diagnostics, needle localizations, cyst aspirations and breast sonograms.
Clinical professionals at the center perform nearly 1,000 procedures per month and offer a variety of services, including mammograms.
According to the American Cancer Society, about 212,920 women and 1,720 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and an estimated 40,970 women and 460 men will die from this disease in 2006. Although women are 100 times more likely than men to be diagnosed with breast cancer, this disease affects everyone.
That's why Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth offers digital mammography screenings. The hospital recently acquired a third digital mammography unit, which has allowed it to significantly decrease appointment wait times.
Screenings are available from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Call 817-433-6616 to make an appointment.
