Texas Health Resources in Modern Healthcare

An article in the current issue of Modern Healthcare on health care systems’ increasing expansion of outpatient services included comments by Jon Scholl, chief strategy officer and executive vice president of Texas Health Resources. The article mentioned Texas Health’s 10-year agreement with Healthways for physician-directed population health initiatives. It also noted Texas Health’s collaboration with Methodist Health System on an agreement with LHC Group to deliver home health care for regional patients. The article included a photo of Texas Health CEO Doug Hawthorne with Healthways CEO Ben Leedle.

Texas Health Resources in CIO Magazine

The Aug. 1 issue of CIO magazine featured Texas Health Resources among the recipients of the 2012 CIO 100 Awards. Texas Health earned the honor for implementing barcode medication verification technology in its electronic health record. Texas Health Fort Worth Nurse in Local, National News

Christy Daae, nursing supervisor in the emergency department at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, was featured in the Star-Telegram and on the New York Daily News website for performing life-saving CPR on children at a neighborhood swimming pool while off duty.

Texas Health Fort Worth on WFAA-TV

Dr. Jennifer Arnouville, geriatrician on the medical staff at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, was interviewed for a story on WFAA-TV (Ch. 8) about the circumstances under which you should talk with your elderly loved one about no longer driving.
