Dr. Jorge Cheirif, chief of cardiology at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and a physician on the hospital’s medical staff, was highlighted in a recent story in Park Cities People. Cheirif talked about Highland Park mom Marla Sewall, 42, who suffered a heart attack and drowned in her bathtub. Her husband administered CPR, and she was rushed to the Texas Health Dallas ICU. She eventually awoke from her coma and today suffers no side effects.

D Healthcare Daily reported appointments at Texas Health Resources hospitals:

  • Kendra Slatton, R.N., M.S.N., CDE, has been named chief nursing officer at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance. Slatton joined Texas Health Alliance from East Texas Medical Center in Athens, where she served as chief nursing officer.
  • Dung Pham, R.T., M.H.A., has been named imaging services director for Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. Before accepting his new position, Pham served as the interim imaging services director for several months, and also served as the radiology manager at Texas Health Arlington Memorial for five years.
