Sept. 9 editions of The Dallas Morning News featured Texas Health Resources’ transformation of care initiatives in an article on the future of health care reform. Initiatives mentioned included the acquisition of MedicalEdge, formation of a Medicare Pioneer accountable care organization with North Texas Specialty Physicians, agreement with Healthways to provide physician-directed population health initiatives, collaboration with Methodist Health System and LHC Group on home health services, and transformation advancement of the leadership structure. Texas Health CEO Doug Hawthorne was quoted.

Texas Health Arlington Memorial in Fort Worth Business Press

The Fort Worth Business Press recently highlighted Angela Hagerty, R.N., for her new leadership role at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. Hagerty was recently selected as the hospital’s new critical care director. She has 16 years of nurse management experience and previously was nurse manager for post-gastroenterology, genitourinary and bariatric surgery units at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.

Texas Health Fort Worth on KXAS-TV

Dr. Robert Genzel, emergency physician on the medical staff at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, was interviewed for a story on KXAS-TV (Ch. 5) about the importance of immunizations for whopping cough. The story also included facts from the hospital about whopping cough symptoms and what to do if you suspect you have it.
