An article in the November issue of HealthLeaders on information technology data loss prevention strategies included comments from Ron Mehring, information security officer for Texas Health Resources.

Texas Health Dallas on KTVT-TV, KDAF-TV

Dr. Douglas Baker, a radiologist on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, recently appeared on KTVT-TV (Ch. 11). Baker talked about the hospital’s new 3D mammography technology, which is an advanced way to diagnose breast cancer in women with dense breast tissue.

Dr. Nabeel Farah, a sleep medicine specialist on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, appeared on KDAF-TV (Ch. 33). Farah talked about how people who are not getting adequate sleep are at risk for health problems such as obesity.

Texas Health Arlington Memorial on KTVT-TV

Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital appeared on KTVT-TV (Ch. 11) for its observation the March of Dimes’ “Go Purple for Preemies Day.” On Nov. 13, people were encouraged to wear purple to draw attention to the severity of premature births, and how it affects families and communities. Babies currently in the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit were wrapped in purple blankets while wearing white and purple hats. The month of November is designated as Prematurity Awareness Month.
