D Healthcare Daily featured an article on a presentation on employer wellness initiatives by Jon Scholl, chief strategy officer of Texas Health Resources, and Ben Leedle, CEO of Healthways. Scholl and Leedle addressed the Dallas-Fort Worth Business Group on Health’s annual value-based benefits and wellness forum.

Texas Health Fort Worth in Star-Telegram, London Daily Mail

An article in Nov. 30 editions of the Star-Telegram featured reader reactions to a Nov. 28 story about a reunion between a former Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth NICU patient, Kate, and her caregivers from 18 years ago. Readers commented on the great care they also received at Texas Health Fort Worth.

The NICU reunion story also was highlighted in the London Daily Mail. Kate’s mother was one of the first to use Kangaroo Mother Care at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth and her case helped influence caregivers to use the method with moms and babies moving forward. Dr. David Turbeville, neonatologist on the medical staff, was quoted.

Texas Health Stephenville in Empire-Tribune

The Stephenville Empire-Tribune featured an article on the free flu shot clinic at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville. The flu shots are being offered through the hospital’s Faith Community Nursing program. Tina Virgin, R.N., M.S.N., community health advocate and clinical education specialist at the hospital, was quoted.

Texas Health Resources in Al Dia

Al Dia, a sister publication to The Dallas Morning News, featured healthy eating programs for patients and staff members at area health care organizations, including Texas Health Resources. The article spotlighted Texas Health’s Eat Fit program and quoted Winjie Tang Miao, president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance, and Steve O’Brien, Texas Health spokesman.

Texas Health Allen on Allen American Website

The Allen American featured a story on its website about Clinical Nurse Leaders at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen. The stories quoted Emily Jestes and Holly Haddad.

Texas Health Plano on KDAF-TV (Ch. 33)

KDAF-TV (Ch. 33) featured Dr. Arash Tirandaz, a physician on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, talking about bronchitis. The story, which aired on Nov. 29, also was featured on the station’s website.
