Texas Health Resources on D Healthcare Daily
An article on D Healthcare Daily on the Dallas County Medical Society’s (DCMS) decision to shut down Project Access Dallas included comments from Texas Health Resources. The nationally recognized program served more than 10,000 uninsured patients over a 10-year span through partnerships with area physicians, charity clinics, service support organizations and health systems, including Texas Health. The DCMS board voted to discontinue the program after failing to receive the full funding it requested under a new Medicaid waiver. Texas Health noted that it committed to provide the amount DCMS requested for the project, and that amount was an increase over past years.
