PHP in Hometown Heroes Report

Andrew Halliburton, who donated almost a year's worth of savings from his allowance to Presbyterian Hospital of Plano last week, was featured on KDFW-TV (Channel 4) anchor Clarice Tinsley's weekly Hometown Heroes report last night. Andrew and his mom, Carolyn Halliburton, were quoted, as was hospital volunteer Marge Brashear, who co-founded The Teddy Bear Fund.

HMSW in South Tarrant Star

Harris Methodist Southwest Hospital, soon to be named Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth, was featured in this week's South Tarrant Star for donating a life-saving defibrillator to Everman High School before their football game against Stephenville High School on Oct. 17. The article includes a photo of Brett McClung, the hospital's president, presenting the donation to Patrick Lamers, the school's assistant principal.

HMNW in National Education Magazine

Harris Methodist Northwest Hospital’s hand hygiene program is featured in Education World magazine, a national publication for educators. Marsha Ingle, community education specialist, and Marcia Shumate, infection control nurse at HMNW, were both interviewed for the story.

Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital's hand clinic was featured on KXAS-TV (Channel 5) in a story about pumpkin carving injuries. Jessica Bellinghauser, 11-year-old patient, was interviewed about her pumpkin carving injuries. She and her hand therapist, Beth Bergeron, shared some helpful hints on how to safely carve pumpkins this Halloween season.
