Texas Health Fort Worth in Star-Telegram
A column in the Star-Telegram featured the life story of Gatjan Deng, a patient care technician at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, who is among about 20,000 young refugees known as the "Lost Boys of Sudan." The boys trekked from their small villages to neighboring Ethiopia and beyond to escape brutal war. Deng was relocated to Fort Worth several years ago under a United Nations resettlement program and has started a non-profit organization to help bring access to clean water for the people of his home village.
