Texas Health Resources on KRLD-AM

Dr. Janna Massar, an internist on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, was interviewed on KRLD-AM (1080) news radio. Massar discussed the Gallup-Healthways well-being index report, which ranks major metro areas in the U.S. on the six dimensions of well-being. North Texas ranked poorly in healthy behaviors and life evaluation, but among the nine major Texas metropolitan areas analyzed by the new report, the Dallas-Arlington-Fort Worth area was tops in emotional health and work environment.

Texas Health Southlake, USMD Arlington in Star-Telegram

The Star-Telegram mentioned that Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southlake and USMD Hospital at Arlington were honored in Austin for being among the top 100 of the 2013 Best Companies to Work for in Texas.

Texas Health Plano on WFAA-TV

WFAA-TV (Ch. 8) featured a story about a fourth grade classroom in McKinney using yoga balls instead of chairs. The balls were donated by Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano’s Scoliosis & Spine Tumor Center. Sara Brice, program manager, was interviewed along with the teacher and class. The story also was featured on KHOU-TV in Houston.
