Texas Health Arlington Memorial’s Dr. Mehta in Star-Telegram
Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital appeared in an article on the front page of the “Tarrant & Texas” section of today’s Star-Telegram. The story focused on a new spinal cord stimulator implant. Dr. Vivek Mehta, medical director of pain management at Texas Health Arlington Memorial, described how patients use a hand-held remote, similar to a cell phone, to send electrical impulses to nerve fibers along the spinal cord, which in turn, masks the pain messages delivered to the brain.
