Doug Hawthorne promotes Heart Walk on Good Morning Texas

A segment this morning on the WFAA (Ch. 8) program Good Morning Texas featured Doug Hawthorne, CEO of Texas Health Resources, as he discussed Texas Health’s involvement in the upcoming American Heart Association Heart Walk. Hawthorne talked about the importance of heart health and why Texas Health is committed to its $450,000 fundraising goal for the American Heart Association. A group of Texas Health walkers also attended to show their support for the event. View the video here.

Texas Health in Star-Telegram article on health insurance exchanges

A front-page article in today’s Star-Telegram mentioned that Texas Health Resources will work with the United Way of Tarrant County and other community organizations to educate consumers on how to use Texas’ health insurance exchange. Dallas Morning News highlights Texas Health Dallas conference

The 4th annual Literature and Medicine Conference was featured in Bob Miller’s column in the Dallas Morning News. Dr. John Harper, holder of the Ewton Chair in Cardiology at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and the Literature and Medicine program director, explained that the purpose of the event is to gain a better understanding of the human condition and through the written word connect with patients on a deeper level.
