HMFW on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams
Syed Sadiq, M.D., gastroenterologist on the medical staff at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital, was featured in a story about former first lady Barbara Bush's perforated ulcer on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams and the NBC national networks. Sadiq said that treating a perforated ulcer is urgent, but easy with new modern procedures.
HMFW in Star-Telegram
Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital was featured in a lead story in the Star-Telegram about door-to-balloon times in heart attack patients. Debbie Bricker, director of cardiovascular diagnostic services at HMFW, and Sreenivas Gudimetla, M.D., medical director of the Harris Methodist Heart Center, were interviewed for this story and talked about the number of complex and critical cases HMFW sees. They also talked about what HMFW is doing to meet and exceed the required 90-minute door-to-balloon time.
PHP in Plano Star-Courier
Patti Allard, R.N., Ph.D., director of education and research at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, was featured in a recent Plano Star-Courier article regarding her being named a finalist in the Nurseweek 2008 Nursing Excellence Awards for the South Central region. Allard was named a finalist in the "Mentoring" category.
