Texas Health Fort Worth program, cancer services highlighted on and NurseWeek magazine

Texas Health Fort Worth SANE program, cancer services highlighted on and NurseWeek magazine and the Oct. 14 print issue of NurseWeek magazine include an article about Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth’s Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program and a photo of the eight specially-trained nurses on the SANE team. Judy Horton, director of emergency services, and Jaime Ramsey, nurse supervisor of the SANE program, are quoted. SANE programs at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman are mentioned. The article also highlights the hospital’s cancer program for receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Texas Health Southwest featured on KERA

Kathy Rhodes, infection prevention coordinator at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth, was featured in a segment on KERA (90.1 FM) that discussed the hospital’s use of an ultraviolet light machine to disinfect operating rooms. Click here to read more.

Texas Health Plano to be featured on KXAS

We anticipate Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano’s Carry on the Fight event to be featured on KXAS (Ch. 5) at 5 p.m. this evening. Staff members were interviewed along with Shawn Darst, a Commerce House employee who is carrying a 70 lb. pink punching bag during the Susan G. Komen Race in Dallas this weekend. Texas Health Plano employees and the public were asked to sign the bag in honor of those who have been affected by breast cancer.
