Texas Health Harris Methodist Outpatient Center Burleson’s Chest Pain Center accreditation from The Society of Chest Pain Centers – the first Chest Pain Accreditation given to a freestanding emergency department – was recently featured in The Burleson Star and Fort Worth Business Press. Dr. Heather Beard, medical director of the emergency department, was also featured in this month’s issue of Burleson Now magazine discussing heart attack prevention.

An article on Star-Telegram.com highlighted the new Marion Emergency Care Center, opening Jan. 11 at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. Lillie Biggins, R.N., FACHE, hospital president, and Christy Daae, nurse manager, were interviewed about the project. Debbie Krauser, director of the Fort Worth Emergency Services Collaboration, was interviewed about the sophisticated simulation lab on the second floor of the building that will help train first responders from all areas of emergency care to work with one another in high-stress situations.

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Azle appeared in the Azle News in an article that discussed the announcement of the hospital’s new chief medical officer, Dr. Judy Laviolette. As CMO, Laviolette will oversee patient safety and promote clinical excellence throughout all departments at both Texas Health Azle and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne. Laviolette, Bob Ellzey, Texas Health Azle president, and Valarie Gilbert, chief nursing officer, were quoted.
