Texas Health Arlington Memorial’s Dr. Hardesty in Los Angeles Times
Dr. Glenn Hardesty, emergency medicine physician at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital and chair of Texas Health’s Physician Leadership Council, appeared in today’s Los Angeles Times. He discussed the consequences people may face when extra pressure is placed on their bladder. After a recent cross-country flight, more than 150 passengers were forced to use just one properly working lavatory. According to Hardesty, on a long flight, an individual’s bladder won’t rupture, but a urinary tract infection can possibly develop if going to the restroom is delayed for a long period of time.
