HMWR in Cleburne Times-Review
Harris Methodist Walls Regional Hospital was recognized in the Cleburne Times-Review for a new laparoscopic colon resection procedure performed by Dr. Kari Frano, a physician on the medical staff. Hospital president Blake Kretz was quoted in the story as was the first patient the procedure was performed on.
The Times-Review also ran a story about Tommy Forsythe, president of Community Bank, who rode 150 miles in the Texas Time Trials cycling race to raise money for the Black and White Gala. Forsythe's efforts raised nearly $7,700 in pledges and a matching donation from the bank for the hospital's Mammograms are a Must Program.
Springwood Center in Tarrant County Physician
The new Springwood Center of Southwest Fort Worth was recently featured in Tarrant County Physician. The new center is a satellite clinic of Harris Methodist Springwood Hospital, the addiction treatment and behavioral health treatment facility at Harris Methodist HEB Hospital. The Springwood Center of Southwest Fort Worth offers intensive outpatient programs for cardiac patients, women, adult psychiatric and addication treatment, and adolescents.

Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital was featured on WFAA-TV (Channel 8), KXAS-TV (Channel 5) and KTVT-TV (Channel 11) in stories about the Boenker Family donating $250,000 and 250 baby blankets to the Center for Women and Infants’ Health. Terry Akin, senior vice president and chief operating officer at HMFW, accepted the check from the family. Gloria Boenker was interviewed and discussed the excellent care they received, leading to the donation.
