The new metabolic screenings at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford were featured in the Star-Telegram. Jennifer Wines, group exercise coordinator at the Texas Health HEB Fitness Center, was interviewed.

Hyperbaric Experts at Texas Health Dallas in Local Media

Dr. Laurie Aten, a hyperbaric medicine specialist at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, appeared in news stories Friday about a carbon monoxide poisoning incident in Northwest Dallas. Seven family members were rushed to the Texas Health Dallas ER and then sent to the hospital's Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine, where they were treated in the hyperbaric medicine chamber.

Stories about this advanced treatment for carbon monoxide poisoning were featured on WFAA-TV (Channel 8), KXAS-TV (Channel 5), KDFW-TV (Channel 4), KTVT-TV (Channel 11) and KDAF-TV (Channel 33). Aten was also quoted in a Dallas Morning News article.

Dr. Jeffrey Stone, medical director of hyperbaric medicine at Texas Health Dallas, was interviewed on KRLD-AM (1080) and WBAP-AM (820) about how hyperbaric medicine helps rid the body of toxic carbon monoxide.
