Dr. Gary Weinstein, chief of critical care medicine at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, is quoted in a Dallas Business Journal story about the hospital’s new intensivist program. Texas Health Dallas is among the region’s first major medical centers to implement an intensivist program, which puts the care of ICU patients under the guidance of board-certified critical care physicians, who directly oversee patient care in the ICU throughout the day — without other responsibilities in the hospital.
