Linda Humphries, R.N., A.C.N.S.-B.C., C.C.R.N., was featured in the March 2 Job Watch issue of ADVANCE for Nurses magazine in an article about her role as a clinical nurse specialist at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth.

Texas Health Dallas Medical Director on WFAA-TV

Dr. Melvin Platt, medical director of cardiovascular surgery at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was featured in a March 5 WFAA-TV (Channel 8) story about aortic valve surgery. Former first lady Barbara Bush recently underwent heart surgery in Houston to replace her aortic valve. The story included an interview with one of Platt's patients, who recently had valve surgery and is now back on his feet and back to his normal routine just a few weeks after the procedure.

The Kaufman Herald featured a story about Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman’s history. The story, which quoted Patsy Youngs, hospital president, also highlighted the upcoming fun run and anniversary celebration on March. 28.

Texas Health Winnsboro on featured a story about the recent American Diabetes Association reaccreditation that Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Winnsboro’s Diabetes Self Management Education program received. Vicki Johns, R.D., L.D., C.D.E., program manager, and acting hospital president Patsy Youngs were quoted. also featured a story about the new senior care unit at Texas Health Winnsboro, including information and photos from a recent open house. Dr. Sheela Singa, medical director of psychiatric services, and Youngs were featured in photographs. Dr. Mark Clothier, a physician on the medical staff who is overseeing medical issues for senior care unit patients, also was mentioned, along with various unit employees.
