Barney Benner, a pharmacist at Harris Methodist Walls Regional Hospital, recently offered to serve as a walking billboard and rented 2" x 2" squares on his shaved head for $25 to raise money for the American Cancer Society. A photo of Kathleen Harlow, nursing manager at HMWR, signing his head was on the front page of the Cleburne Times-Review on June 10, along with the article.
Blake Kretz, president of HMWR, was quoted in a June 11 story about uninsured patients in Texas.
PHW Volunteer of the Year on front page of The Winnsboro News
Verl Tramel, a long-time volunteer at Presbyterian Hospital of Winnsboro, was featured on the front page of The Winnsboro News in a photo with Mike Sinclair, administrator of the hospital. Tramel was named Volunteer of the Year for 2007 at a recent event.
HMFW on KXAS-TV
Allen Roberts, M.D., emergency medicine physician on the medical staff at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital, was interviewed last night on KXAS-TV (Channel 5) in a story about rabies that ran at 10 p.m. on June 11 and again at 6 a.m. on June 12.
