The group mentioned CEO Doug Hawthorne’s chairmanship of this year’s March for Babies on April 18 and talked about Texas Health Resources’ involvement with the March of Dimes and commitment to raising awareness about prematurity.
Texas Health Plano, Texas Health Allen in Plano Star-Courier, Allen American
The Plano Star-Courier and Allen American reported this week that Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen had received a total of $70,000 in funding from the North Texas affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Texas Health Allen will offer free mammograms and Texas Health Plano will provide free breast cancer radiation therapy treatments to uninsured women in Collin County as a result of the funding. Barbara Quast, R.N., Texas Health Allen's women's health service line director, and Carinsa Gaston, B.S., R.T.T., oncology program manager at Texas Health Plano, were quoted.
