Texas Health Fort Worth on KDAF-TV

Thresa Looney, neonatal ICU nurse manager at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, was interviewed for a story on a KDAF-TV (Channel 33) newscast about the importance of feeding breast milk to premature babies. The hospital has started a project, MOMI (Mothers Own Milk Initiative), which encourages moms to breast feed their babies or donate their breast milk to a milk bank.

Texas Health Hospitals in Star-Telegram

The Star-Telegram recently mentioned that Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano have received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, considered a top honor for U.S. cancer programs. Texas Health Fort Worth received the designation in 2007.

Texas Health Dallas Allergist on KRLD-AM

Dr. Gary Gross, an allergist on the medical staff at Texas Health Dallas, was interviewed on KRLD-AM (1080). Gross spoke about a new FDA warning that nasal sprays containing zinc could permanently affect a person's sense of smell.
