Harris Methodist Southwest Hospital and Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital were featured on the NBC News last week in a story about the hospital’s STEMI protocol. Sharon LeMond suffered a heart attack at HMSW and was sent directly to the HMFW’s cath lab as part of the STEMI protocol. LeMond was one of the first cases to arrive from an outlying hospital to the cath lab in less than 90 minutes. Sreenivas Gudimetla, M.D., medical director of the Harris Methodist Heart Center, talked about the protocol and how saving time means saving muscle.

PHD's chair of radiology recognized by DMJ
Dr. Cynthia Sherry, chair of radiology at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and president of the Texas Radiological Society, has been elected president of the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE), one of the country’s most prestigious professional organizations for physician leaders. A news brief about the recent honor for Dr. Sherry is included in this month's Dallas Medical Journal.
PHD’s echo lab recognized by Pulse magazine
Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas’ echocardiography lab has earned reaccreditation by the Inter-societal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories, making it one of only two hospitals in the region accredited by the organization.
