Texas Health Arlington Memorial on Local Newscasts

Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital's outpatient heart failure clinic is scheduled to appear on KXAS-TV (Channel 5), KDFW-TV (Channel 4), and KDAF-TV (Channel 33) in a story about its reduction of hospital readmissions of heart failure patients. The hospital is scheduled to receive the first-ever Acute Heart Failure Center accreditation from the Society of Chest Pain Centers today for its treatment of heart failure patients from the first call to 911 through discharge and beyond. Jerry Prosser, heart failure patient who lost 85 pounds, Terri Nabozny, manager of the heart failure clinic, and Sandra Harris, senior vice president and chief operating officer, were interviewed.

Pasty Youngs, president of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman, was featured on the cover of the annual progress edition of The Kaufman Herald. The article looked at the 30-year history of Texas Health Kaufman and its role in the community.

Texas Health Dallas Experts on KDAF-TV

Sharie Berish, a pharmacist at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was interviewed on KDAF-TV (Channel 33) about possible changes in FDA regulations of acetaminophen. Too much of the popular pain killer, which is found in over-the-counter drugs like Tylenol and prescription medications, can cause liver damage. Dr. Mark Till, chief of emergency medicine at Texas Health Dallas, was also interviewed.

Robert Genzel, M.D., emergency medicine physician on the medical staff at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, was interviewed by the Star-Telegram in a story about acetaminophen regulations proposed by the FDA.

A team of employees from Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen participating in Shape Up Texas Health is featured on the Web site for the Allen American and will be featured in an upcoming article. Both Janey Jerro and Peggy Elkins are quoted on the video, explaining how the team gets together once a week for healthy lunches, as well as participates in walks and other exercises.
