The Star-Telegram reported in its Nov. 3 editions that a panel of local hospital executives discussed health care reform legislation at a health care summit sponsored by the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. Executives quoted included Barclay Berdan, senior executive vice president of system alignment and performance for Texas Health Resources.
Texas Health Dallas in NurseWeek
Martha Steinbauer, R.N., CNO, vice president of nursing at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, and Carol Gentry, R.N.C, B.S.N., labor and delivery staff nurse at Texas Health Dallas, were recognized this month with South Central region Nursing Excellence Awards, presented by NurseWeek magazine. Steinbauer was honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award, and Gentry was recognized in the Clinical Care category. Both are pictured on the cover of the current edition of NurseWeek.
