The October issue of the Denton Business & Community News featured the Texas Health Resources Prodigy program. The program offers students part time employment at a Texas Health hospital and covers the cost of education toward an associate degree in nursing or allied health. Darchelle Scott, a Prodigy student at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton, and Jim Dunn, Texas Health’s Chief Learning Officer, were quoted.

Dr. Robert Genzel, emergency physician on the medical staff at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, was interviewed for a Nov. 3 story dispelling the myths and rumors about other vaccines that allegedly help prevent H1N1. The story aired on KXAS-TV (Ch. 5) at 10 p.m.

Photos of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano’s annual “trunk-or-treat” Halloween event at the hospital’s Seay Child Care Center were featured on the front page of the Plano Star Courier on Nov. 1. The event, typically held outside, was moved inside due to inclement weather.
