A Feb. 3 article in the Dallas Morning News highlighted Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth for excellent ratings in a consumer report study that examined ICU infections in hospitals. The hospitals were the only two out of 25 rated in the DFW area to report zero infections.

Texas Health Dallas on KRLD-AM

Dr. Amy Hayes, a pediatrician on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was interviewed recently on KRLD-AM (1080). She spoke about parents giving their children melatonin to sleep without consulting their physician.

Texas Health Dallas on WFAA-TV

Dr. Karen McClard, a pediatrician on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, appeared on WFAA (Ch. 8) in a Feb. 2 story about a major study on a common childhood vaccine and autism being retracted by The Lancet, a major medical journal in Britain. The study, which stoked parents' fears worldwide about vaccines, was initially published in 1998.

Amy Goodson, R.D., dietitian at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, was interviewed for an article in this month’s edition of Real Simple magazine about cutting calories, portion sizes and eating in moderation.
