Texas Health Southwest in ADVANCE for Nurses

The new 64-slice low-dose radiation CT scanner at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth was featured in this month's ADVANCE for Nurses magazine. Cathy Johnson, R.N., director of women's services, discussed benefits of low dose radiation for women of childbearing age.

Dr. James Davidson, a bariatric surgeon on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was quoted in a story on WFAA-TV (Ch. 8) about revisions to weight-loss surgeries.

Texas Health Dallas in Dallas Morning News

Dr. James Park, an interventional cardiologist on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, will host a free lecture on heart disease. The event, which is part of Advances in Medicine, was mentioned in Feb. 16 editions of The Dallas Morning News.

Texas Health Plano in ON Magazine

ON magazine’s recent issue featured an article and several photographs, including the magazine’s cover, on Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano’s 45-bed, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The article quoted Dr. Antonio Santiago, medical director of the NICU, Michele Charless, manager of the NICU and parent of an NICU patient.

ON also featured an article and Q&A with Jim Boswell, administrative director of physician services at Texas Health Plano and recent recipient of the Star Children’s Charity inaugural achievement award named in his honor. In addition, an article on Texas Health Plano’s “30-Minute ER Promise” was included. It quoted Dr. Jeffrey Canose, president, and Linda Van Pelt, nursing director of emergency services and intensive care.
