Texas Health Resources' 'Great 100 Nurses' in Nurses’ Lounge
With 35 of the "Great 100 Nurses" for 2010, Texas Health Resources hospital nurses dominated Nurses’ Lounge magazine’s annual tribute to the best of the nursing profession in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Texas Health’s 35 nurses on the list, contained in the magazine’s April issue, is the highest total for any hospital or health system in North Texas. The nurses include representatives from nine hospitals and the Texas Health Resources Center for Learning and Career Development.
Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth on Local News
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth employees were featured on local news stations celebrating the American Heart Association's National Start! Walking Day. The initiative calls for companies to encourage employees to become more active. Employees walking a mile around the hospital's heart-healthy walking trail were featured on KXAS-TV (Ch. 5), KDFW-TV (Ch. 4), KDAF-TV (Ch. 33) and Telemundo. Brett McClung, the hospital's president, and Diana Vargas, administrative assistant, were interviewed.
