Texas Health Resources' Joint Venture to Acquire Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Local Media, Health Publications
Web sites for Modern Healthcare and Healthcare Finance News and the Sherman Herald Democrat reported the joint venture of Texas Health Resources and LHP Hospital Group, Inc., to acquire Sherman-based Wilson N. Jones Medical Center. The hospital will be known as Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-WNJ. The Healthcare Financial News online article quoted Steve Hanson, senior executive vice president of growth and integration for Texas Health Resources.

Dr. Alan Frankfurt, an anesthesiologist on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was featured in an April 15 story on KXAS-TV (Ch. 5). The story highlighted a new massive transfusion protocol designed to better care for women who bleed during labor. Frankfurt and others at Texas Health Dallas developed the program based on medical literature from doctors in the U.S. military treating wounded soldiers in battle.
