Texas Health Kaufman in The Kaufman Herald
The current edition of The Kaufman Herald included a story about Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman receiving the Quality Respiratory Recognition Award from the American Association for Respiratory Care. The story included comments from Trisha Scarborough, manager of cardiopulmonary and rehabilitation services at Texas Health Kaufman, and Dr. Shashank Dengle, a cardiologist on the hospital’s medical staff and director of cardiopulmonary medicine.
Texas Health Dallas in Advance for Nurses
Romil Amar, B.S.N., R.N., BC, manager of cardiac and neuro telemetry units at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, was featured in Advance for Nurses magazine. The article, which focused on nursing and patient education to achieve successful cardiac outcomes, highlighted Texas Health Dallas’ heart failure microsystem. The pilot project brought caregivers together to discuss best practices and strategies for managing the care of patient with congestive heart failure, with a goal of reducing readmission for heart failure patients.
Texas Health Fort Worth on The Learning Channel
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth was featured on The Learning Channel’s "Make Room for Multiples" program on April 22. Amy Jeter, R.N., labor and delivery nurse at Texas Health Fort Worth, was the nurse caring for this family and was interviewed for the story. Dr. Melchor Boone, OB/GYN on the medical staff, was also interviewed.
