Texas Health Fort Worth Featured on 'American Idol' Visit

National coverage of American Idol finalist Casey James’ May 14 visit to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth as part of the program contestants’ home town visits was featured on People.com, MTV.com and KDFW-TV (Ch. 4). James, a Parker County native and Fort Worth resident, met with patients and Dr. Cory Collinge, an orthopedic surgeon at Texas Health Fort Worth. Collinge treated James when the singer was injured in a motorcycle accident several years ago.

Texas Health HEB on National Public Radio

A story about Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford’s Doc Shop events was featured May 18 on National Public Radio. The story is expected to run on the program Morning Edition. The ran locally on KERA-FM (90.1).

Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth in Fort Worth Business Press

Kathryn Vance, endoscopy resource nurse at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth, was featured in the Fort Worth Business Press for receiving the “2010 National Proud to be GI” award from the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates Inc.

Texas Health Arlington Memorial on KXAS-TV

A new health and wellness education program for Arlington residents initiated by Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital and the City of Arlington, called “Choose Health,” was featured on KXAS-TV (Ch. 5) newscasts on May 17. Hospital dietitians Kay Peacock and Joan Killen were interviewed.
