Texas Health Plano on Local News, National Sites
Local TV stations ran features on Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano’s new SpineAssist surgical robot, one of three in the United States and the only one in Texas. Robot co-designer Dr. Isador Lieberman, an orthopedic and spinal surgeon on the medical staff at Texas Health Plano and the Texas Back Institute, was interviewed, as were several patients and parents. Stories aired on KXAS-TV (Ch. 5), KTVT-TV (Ch. 11), KDAF-TV (Ch. 33) and KDFW-TV (Ch. 4).
The story also appeared on numerous news websites including USA Today.com, cnbc.com, AOL Daily Finance, Yahoo! News, U.S. Politics Today, and websites for business journals across the country, including the Dallas Business Journal. The story also ran on the Dallas Morning News’ Neighbors website.
Texas Health Fort Worth on KTVT-TV
A story ran July 26 on KTVT-TV (Ch. 11) highlighting a tiny patient’s courageous fight against a flesh-eating disease and the use of hyperbaric wound therapy to help treat her condition. Hollie Nail, respiratory therapist at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, was interviewed.
Texas Health Cleburne in ADVANCE for Nurses
The latest issue of ADVANCE for Nurses featured an item about Carol Olivier, R.N., infection prevention and control practitioner at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne, receiving the Community Service Award.
