Texas Health Resources in Nurses Lounge
The current issue of Nurses Lounge reported that Texas Health Resources received a grant of more than $550,000 from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to expand a joint Bachelor of Science in Nursing program between Texas Health and the University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing. The grant will enable Texas Health to increase the capacity of the hospital-based program to 80 students.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano’s new SpineAssist surgical robot was featured on Robotics.TMCnet.com. The robot is one of three in the United States and the only one in Texas. Quoted in the article were robot co-designer Dr. Isador Lieberman, an orthopedic and spinal surgeon on the medical staff at Texas Health Plano and the Texas Back Institute, and Sara Misuraca, program director of the Scoliosis and Spine Tumor Center at Texas Health Plano.
