Marcella Cain, a volunteer at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman, was featured in the current edition of The Kaufman Herald. Cain, who has been volunteering at the hospital since 1993, recently celebrated her 90th birthday. Fellow volunteer Charlotte Rodgers was quoted.
Texas Health Dallas on KRLD-AM
Dr. Archana Ganaraj, an oncology breast surgeon on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was interviewed on KRLD-AM (1080). Ganaraj spoke about a new study in the Journal of the American Medical Association that suggests genetic testing for mutations in the BRCA gene is worthwhile, with prophylactic surgery a key way to prevent the breast cancer in women who have the genetic mutation.
Texas Health Plano in Plano Profile
Plano Profile featured Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano’s new SpineAssist surgical robot, one of three in the United States and the only one in Texas, in September’s print issue and on its website. Robot co-designer Dr. Isador Lieberman, an orthopedic and spinal surgeon on the medical staff at Texas Health Plano and the Texas Back Institute, was quoted, in addition to Bonnie Neymeyer, mother of 14-year-old patient Bethany Neymeyer.
