Dr. Archana Ganaraj, an oncology breast surgeon on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was highlighted in The Dallas Morning News. The Oct. 7 story, by Business columnist Bob Miller, promoted the evening's Advances in Medicine at Texas Health Dallas. Ganaraj's presentation looked into the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. The story also highlighted Texas Health Dallas' partnership with Susan G. Komen Dallas to provide screening mammograms to underinsured and uninsured women in Dallas County.

Dr. Donna Casey, an internist on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was interviewed Oct. 6 on KRLD-AM (1080). The story looked into an uptick in cases of strep throat in North Texas and how the bacterial infection is diagnosed and treated.

Texas Health Plano on Local News

KXAS-TV (Ch. 5) and WFAA-TV (Ch. 8) featured stories on their Oct. 8 evening broadcasts about a free primary care clinic opening in west Plano for indigent Collin County residents. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano committed $40,000 to the clinic, along with volunteers. The clinic opening was also featured on and its Plano and Allen blogs.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano’s new SpineAssist surgical robot, one of three in the U.S. and the only one in Texas, was featured in a story on Robot co-designer Dr. Isador Lieberman, an orthopedic and spinal surgeon on the medical staff at Texas Health Plano and the Texas Back Institute, was quoted, in addition to Texas Health Plano President Dr. Jeffrey Canose and Sara Misuraca, program director of the Scoliosis & Spine Tumor Center.
