The Dallas Morning News, Star-Telegram and Dallas Business Journal featured Texas Health Resources’ plans to develop new facilities on the campuses of Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance, in North Tarrant County. Steve Hanson, Texas Health senior executive vice president for system growth and integration, was quoted.

Texas Health Arlington Memorial in Fort Worth Business Press

The Fort Worth Business Press mentioned Laura Jones, neonatal nurse and clinical educator at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, who earned the Texas Excellence in Perinatal Nursing Award from The March of Dimes-Texas chapter.

Texas Health Fort Worth on Local News

Dr. Fernando Silva, neurosurgeon and spinal reconstructive and deformity specialist at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, was featured in Oct. 13 stories on KTVT-TV (Ch. 11) and WFAA-TV (Ch. 8). They highlighted Silva’s work with a scoliosis patient who has regained the ability to walk unassisted after reconstructive spine surgery.

Texas Health Denton in Denton Record-Chronicle Magazine

The upcoming opening of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton was featured in home, health & more, a magazine of the Denton Record-Chronicle. The lab, expected to open by the end of 2010, will help patients with abnormal heart rhythms receive the care they need. Dr. Haris Naseem, an electrophysiologist on the medical staff at Texas Health Denton, was quoted.

Texas Health Plano in World Journal

The World Journal (Chinese Daily News) featured a story about a free primary care clinic opening in west Plano for indigent Collin County residents. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano committed $40,000 to the clinic, along with volunteers. The article, which is in Chinese, quoted Danelle Parker, manager of Community Outreach and Prevention at Texas Health Plano. Pictured was John Ernst, executive director of Collin County Adult Clinic, speaking with volunteers before the clinic grand opening on Oct. 6.
