AMH dietitian featured on CBS affiliate

Denice Taylor, clinical dietitian manager at Arlington Memorial Hospital, discussed the impact of popular energy drinks on children on KTVT-TV (Ch. 11) on Friday, May 16. Taylor said that parents should encourage their children to have a healthy breakfast and lunch to maintain their energy levels, instead of a highly caffeinated energy drink.

AMH medical staff president featured on UTA Web site

Ignacio Nunez, M.D., new president of the medical staff of Arlington Memorial Hospital and proud University of Texas at Arlington alum, is currently profiled on his alma mater’s home page. Dr. Nunez discusses his decision to pursue medicine and the joys of his practice. Dr. Nunez has been a part of the AMH medical staff for his entire career in obstetrics/gynecology.

AMH bariatric nurse profiled in WLS Lifestyles

Tammy Beaumont, BSN, R.N., BC, certified bariatric nurse at Arlington Memorial Hospital, was profiled in the Spring 2008 issue of WLS Lifestyles, a magazine completely dedicated to weight loss topics. Beaumont knows exactly what her patients are going through: she herself lost more than 130 pounds.

PHA nurse featured in last week's Allen American

David Doucette, director of critical care services at Presbyterian Hospital of Allen, is profiled in a story in last week's Allen American newspaper as one of Texas Nurses' Association's 2008 "Great 100 Nurses." Both Doucette and chief nursing officer Jane Cook are quoted in the article.
