Texas Health Dallas in Local Media
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas was mentioned in Nov. 18 editions of The Dallas Morning News. The article detailed the Sexual Assault Nursing Examiner program at Texas Health Dallas and a new treatment suite that will be built thanks to a $2 million grant from the W.W. Caruth Jr. Foundation of Communities Foundation of Texas.
Cole Edmonson, chief nursing officer at Texas Health Dallas, was quoted in the article and was also interviewed on KRLD-AM (1080). Loren Larkin, B.S.N., a nurse educator in the Texas Health Dallas ER and director of the new SANE program, also was quoted in several stories. The story also ran on WFAA-TV (Ch. 8), KXAS-TV (Ch. 5), KDFW-TV (Ch. 4), KTVT-TV (Ch. 11) and KDAF-TV (Ch. 33).
Texas Health Fort Worth in Fort Worth Business Press
This week’s Fort Worth Business Press reported that Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth was one of three Fort Worth-area hospitals that received National Medals of Honor from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Texas Health Fort Worth received a silver award for its work in saving and enhancing lives through organ and tissue donation and recovery.
Texas Health Plano in NeighborsGo
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano was featured on the cover of the NeighborsGo print edition. The story focused on the Veteran’s Day flag ceremony at the hospital honoring Texas Health Plano pharmacist Maj. Duane Deaver. Deaver, Texas Health Plano President Dr. Jeffrey Canose, and Dr. Ron Friedman were quoted. The story was also featured online.
Danelle Parker, Texas Health Plano’s manager of community outreach and prevention education, was featured in a photo taken during a fundraiser at Ewing Autohaus for the new West Side Clinic.
Texas Health Springwood Hospital in Local Media
Barbara Alderete, a therapist at Texas Health Springwood Hospital, was interviewed about the link between belly-baring uniforms for college cheerleaders and risk for developing eating disorders for the 9 p.m. broadcast of KDAF-TV (Ch. 33) on Nov. 17. Alderete also was quoted in this week’s Fort Worth Business Press.
