PHD Pulmonary Technology Featured on Nurse.com

Nurse.com includes a story about a new technology being used by pulmonologists at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. The electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy utilizes global positioning-like technology to generate 3-D images of complex lung structures. The system provides a virtual "road map" deep into the lungs, enabling pulmonologists to maneuver a catheter through multiple branches of the bronchial tree to reach, view and biopsy targeted lesions.

Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital (HMFW) was featured on KDFW-TV (Channel 4) and KXAS-TV (Channel 5) on Aug. 8 in storoes about the first baby born on 8/8/08. Candace Jones gave birth to her second baby, Caleb, at 4:08 a.m., and talked about the importance of the day.
