Jennifer Erickson, senior public relations specialist, was quoted in a Star-Telegram story. The story was also featured on and the, and was mentioned on radio and TV broadcasts on Dec. 20. The story began with a Star-Telegram reporter’s inaccurate account of the situation. Because of restrictions intended to protect patient privacy, the hospital was prevented from explaining the situation to the reporter. If all the facts were made public, we believe it would be a very different story with a very different tone. Texas Health Resources fully supports protection of patient privacy, and it is unfortunate that the reporter chose to write the story without having all of the facts.
