Texas Health HEB in Local Media

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford was the topic of a story in area media on Dec. 19 and 20 related to a patient matter. Jennifer Erickson, senior public relations specialist, was quoted in a Star-Telegram story. The story was also featured on dallasnews.com and the nbcdfw.com, and was mentioned on radio and TV broadcasts on Dec. 20. The story began with a Star-Telegram reporter’s inaccurate account of the situation. Because of restrictions intended to protect patient privacy, the hospital was prevented from explaining the situation to the reporter. If all the facts were made public, we believe it would be a very different story with a very different tone. Texas Health Resources fully supports protection of patient privacy, and it is unfortunate that the reporter chose to write the story without having all of the facts.

Texas Health HEB in Dallas Business Journal

The Dallas Business Journal featured a story on the impact of Highway 183 construction on local businesses, including Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford. Alice Landers, vice president of operations and support services, was quoted.

Texas Health Dallas on WFAA-TV

GeniA Milton, a volunteer at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was featured recently on WFAA-TV (Ch. 8). Milton, a classically trained pianist with years of professional experience, plays piano twice a week in the hospital lobby, entertaining staff, visitors and patients.

Texas Health Plano on KXAS-TV

Santa’s visit to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit was featured on KXAS-TV (Ch. 5). Members of the Plano Police Department delivered donated stuffed animals to patients and their families and provided an opportunity for an otherwise impossible family picture with Santa Claus.
