Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Network in a show called “Miracle Detectives.” Dr. David Smith, medical director of trauma services, Dr. Glenn Bixler, medical director of rehabilitation services, Dr. Patrick Chen, plastic surgeon on the medical staff and Scott Shelton, physical therapist, were interviewed for the segment. The story discussed a former patient, who survived being run over and cut in half by a train, and credited his life to the work of the clinical staff at Texas Health Fort Worth and his physicians.
