Amy Goodson, registered dietitian at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, was interviewed by KXAS-TV (Ch. 5) for a story about how food labels can mislead consumers into believing they are making healthy choices.
Texas Health Dallas on KRLD-AM
Dr. Gary Weinstein, a pulmonologist on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and the hospital’s chief of critical care medicine, was interviewed on KRLD-AM (1080) about a dangerous new trend among teenagers. The story centered around kids who are using the chemicals in bath salts and plant foods to get high. Weinstein spoke about the potential dangers of inhaling or snorting the chemicals, which can cause hallucinations, paranoia, rapid heart rates and other potentially serious medical problems.
