An article in Feb. 16 editions of The Dallas Morning News on hospital ranking websites included comments from Linda Gerbig, vice president for performance improvement at Texas Health Resources.

A Feb. 15 story on WFAA-TV (Ch. 8) about an increase in younger stroke victims featured a patient in the Brain Injury Transitional Services program at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. The patient’s neurologist, Dr. Lavanya Nagineni on the medical staff at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth, was interviewed.

The Dallas Business Journal mentioned Charlotte Ward's appointment as finance director at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth.

Texas Health Denton in Denton Business Chronicle

The February issue of the Denton Business Chronicle quoted Stan Morton, president of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton, in health care-related cover stories. Morton discussed the hospital’s work to implement an electronic health record by December 2011, as well as the trend towards health and wellness and the importance of patient safety.

Melinda Safir, M.S., R.D., L.D., a clinical dietitian at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was recently interviewed on KRLD-AM (1080). Safir talked about a recent report that showed children in families that routinely eat together tend to have fewer problems with obesity and other diet-related health problems.
