Texas Health Dallas in National Cardiac Publication

The cardiac catheterization laboratory at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas was featured in the current edition of Cath Lab Digest. The story — written by Chris Lee, R.N., clinical nurse supervisor, and Zoe Terral, R.N., director of non-invasive/invasive cardiology — highlighted procedures performed in the lab, along with photos of various nurses and doctors on the hospital’s medical staff who care for patients.

Texas Health Kaufman in Kaufman Herald

A story about funds raised at last fall’s 2010 Black Tie Ball, benefitting Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman, was featured in the Feb. 3 edition of The Kaufman Herald. The gala, held in November, raised $57,000 for women’s and children’s services in Kaufman County. During its first three years, the annual fundraiser has generated more than $150,000 to provide care to underserved residents. The story included quotes from Patsy Youngs, Texas Health Kaufman president, and Carl Stapp, chair of the gala’s planning committee and member of the hospital’s board of trustees.

Texas Health Plano on KRLD-AM

Lynda Doell, infection control coordinator at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, was interviewed Feb. 16 on KRLD-AM (1080). Doell spoke about a recent report done by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation where they found as much bacteria on a mall food court tray as many gas station toilets.

Texas Health Fort Worth, Texas Health Southwest on KTVT-TV, KRLD-AM

A patient in the Brain Injury Transitional Services program at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth was featured on KTVT-TV (Ch. 11) and KRLD-AM (1080) in a Feb. 16 story about stroke victims in their 30s. The patient’s neurologist, Dr. Lavanya Nagineni on the medical staff at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth, was also interviewed.
