Texas Health Resources in Dallas Business Journal

An article in the Dallas Business Journal on the potential effects of Medicaid reimbursement reductions on North Texas Hospitals included comments from Doug Hawthorne, CEO of Texas Health Resources.

Texas Health Resources’ related acquisitions of MedicalEdge Healthcare Group and PhyServe were profiled by the Dallas Business Journal as one of five recent significant deals for North Texas companies. The combination of the two entities positions Texas Health closer to where patients live and work and enhances the ability to serve patients throughout the lifetime of their changing medical needs and requirements. The MedicalEdge transaction is believed to be the second-largest of its kind in the U.S.

Texas Health Dallas in Nursing Magazine

Cole Edmonson, M.S., R.N., FACHE, NEA-BC, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, was quoted in a story in the current edition of NurseZone magazine. The article looked into a study about how performance-based incentives for quality initiatives can impact hospital-based nursing.

Harold Magee, manager of the nursery and NICU at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth, was highlighted in ADVANCE for Nurses magazine for earning the Student Excellence in Clinical Nursing Award from the University of Texas at Arlington's School of Nursing for the fourth consecutive year.
